The Innovation Institute Facilitates Innovation Day for Mater Dei High School High School Students and Teachers
The Innovation Institute hosted an Innovation Day for 80 Mater Dei High School students and 10 teachers on April 5 at its Innovation Lab in Newport Beach, Calif.
Lab staff presented workshops to help students and their teachers find the “innovator inside.” They were given instruction on how to design and build ideas, and were guided through a process to discover, define, build, test, and iterate a product idea.
“Our students and teachers were thrilled with the opportunity to learn about innovation, especially when it is aligned with God’s purpose and methods,” said Mater Dei Principal, Ms. Frances Clare.

Sr. Diane Hejna, CSJ, vice president Mission Integration for The Innovation Institute, said, “This is a great program and we plan to continue to roll it out across high schools to inspire students to seek improvement and change in the world through innovation.”
