Our Surfboard Mascots

The Innovation Institute’s branding depicts the crashing waves of Southern California beaches with colors that represent the ocean. The waves also symbolize waves of innovation as well as faith, foresight, and flexibility.

Surfboards help navigate waves, similar to how our Innovation Lab carefully navigates ideas submitted by our member owner physicians, nurses, and employees. Visitors to the Innovation Lab will see surfboards on display to represent each of our member owners. In addition, each health system member owner has its own Innovation Institute surfboard on display.
